The Process
-
Decide what pieces you would like created. And then fill out the inquiry form HERE. Once your date has been accepted, you will be asked to pay a $75 non-refundable deposit. This deposit holds your spot and goes towards your total order cost & must be paid prior to your event. A limited amount of spots are available per month therefore booking in advance is recommended. I also realize that not all of life’s events are planned, so for that reason I keep a few extra spots open just in case.
-
A week or two before your event, we will chat about what items you'd like created and drop off instructions. We highly recommend dropping off your flowers within 24-72 hours of your event. Instructions are sent on how to safely transport your bouquet & tips on keeping it looking its best.
Once I have received your bouquet, I carefully dry all of your beautiful blooms. I use a few methods depending on the final items wanted. This step takes up to 8 weeks depending on the types of flowers in your bouquet & method of drying.
Drop off is in Coaldale, Alberta. I do not accept fresh bouquets via mail at this time however I can instruct you on how to dry your flowers and mail them to me at a later date. Its a super easy & fun process! Perfect for a newlywed date night.
We also offer a pick up option - A charge of $0.60 per km within a 50km radius of Coaldale, AB *dependant on artists schedule
-
Once your flowers are dried, you will be contacted with layout options. Once your designs are chosen, your first payment will be due. I will then start pouring layers and layers of resin to fully encase your beautiful flowers. Once cured, your flowers will be ready to enjoy forever! Final payment is due prior to pick up or shipping. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the client.
* This step is by far the longest part. There are many factors that go into creating your special keepsake. These processes cannot be rushed and therefore can be quite time-consuming, but so worth it!
Other Tips & Things to Keep in Mind!
Not all flowers dry the same. Red flowers tend to dry darker. White flowers will dry a bit more cream/off white coloured. And some flowers just don’t survive the drying process. If you have any questions please send me an email!
Delegate drop off to a trusted bridesmaid or loved one! One more thing you don’t have to worry about at the end of your wedding.
Taking good care of your bouquet during and after your event helps for a better floral preservation outcome. Flowers bruise easily, and although some of this is caused by handling the flowers by the florist and other hands, I recommend being very gentle with your bouquet. Keep your bouquet in water and out of the hot sun as much as possible. Bruising cannot be noticed until it is already in resin. Overall this just adds to the unique look of your keepsakes.
